Understanding Fertility

The word “fertile” simply means a human body has the ability to conceive children. If you have tried to conceive in the past and haven’t been successful, it does not necessarily mean you are infertile; you may just require some assistance. Just as modern medicine can overcome a myriad of physical conditions, fertility treatments can help you overcome fertility problems.

The current definition of infertility is a failure to conceive following one year of unprotected intercourse if under 35 years of age, or six months if over 35. However, it is important to remember that this is a generalised definition and our decades of experience has taught us that one size does not fit all. You are unique, your body is unique, and we are here to help with your unique fertility journey.

No matter what your circumstances are, Dr Davidson and the team at Nurturing Your Fertility can assist you using a variety of treatments, tailored to your individual situation. Treatments include:

  • IVF (Invitrofertilisation)
  • ovulation induction (OI)

  • Intrauterine insemination (IUI)
  • Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
